We all desperately need more of the cross in our lives, a deeper surrender to it and a thorough consecration to Jesus Christ. But in the later chapters he thoroughly describes life in the Spirit with a clarity of writing style and depth of spirituality that has made him one of the great spiritual teachers of the twentieth century. Watchman Nee's emphasis on the blood of the cross for forgiveness and the power of the cross for transformation within, is the heart of this study of the first eight chapters of Romans. Reading the book while listening is yet another way to absorb the material more deeply. I bought the audio version after reading the print version, because this book is so awesome spiritually and I wanted to apply its insights more deeply into my inner spirit.
